Countryside Christian Church will be offering a two-week membership class during the Sunday school hour on November 9th and 16th.
During the first session, we’ll discuss the beliefs of Countryside, and in the second, we’ll review our by-laws and church structure. You’re welcome to ask any questions during the classes—they’re also a great time for us to get to know one another. If the Sunday school time doesn’t work for you, we can schedule a separate meeting to go through the same material.
Please note that completing the class doesn’t automatically make you a member, but it is the first step in the membership process.
After finishing the class, the next step is to meet with the elders to share your personal testimony of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. This meeting is meant to be a friendly, encouraging time to hear how God has worked in your life. If you express a clear testimony of faith, you’ll then have the opportunity to share it with the congregation, who will vote to affirm your membership.
Though the process may sound formal, each step is designed to be welcoming and Spirit-led, helping you grow in faith and connection with the church family.
If you’d like to join the next membership class, please reply to this email or call/text me. I’ll make sure you receive the membership booklet, which includes our beliefs and by-laws, to review beforehand.
In Christ,
